"The Time is Now, The Place is Here...and if not Now, When?"
The title of this blog is a line from one of my favorite authors, Dan Millman. I believe this line is from his book "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior". If you need help making a change/transition or need motivation, it's a great read!
Several ladies have set their health and fitness goals for 2013. We have had over 60 ladies sign up for the weight loss challenge so far. Yea! However, there is still time for the rest of you to get to the gym and sign up! It is free to sign up for the weight loss challenge and the Winner gets $1,000 Cash and a Cruise for 2!!!
Need extra motivation? Let me share my story with you.....I personally gained over 20 lbs this last year due to stress. 2012 was a rough year for my family. We have all been there.... Life Happens! I allowed myself to "jump off the wagon" for awhile, and drink red wine and eat things that I normally avoid or only have once in awhile. I knew that I would gain weight, especially when I even lost motivation to workout....Yes ladies, even trainers lose motivation from time to time. We are real people too! But that period of my life is behind me, and I am ready to be fit at 40! My weekly routine now consist of 2 private Pilates sessions on the reformer, chair, and trapeze per week plus 1 weight lifting session per week to cover my strength training needs. For my cardio training, I teach a 55 minute spin class twice a week and do the elliptical for 2-3 hours per week, split into 45-60 minute cardio sessions. I also have been doing weekly infrared body wraps and stretch therapy sessions for recovery and flexibility training. All in all I am glad I have been back on the fitness bandwagon! In just a little over 2 weeks, I am already losing weight, toning up, and feeling better. I will keep you all posted over the next 12 weeks during the Luna Fitness Weight Loss Challenge of how I am personally doing. Feel free to share your success stories with me!
