Kim Wilcox
Kim was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She has been living in Phoenix for the past 15 years and loving the sunny state. Fitness has always been an important part of her life.
She has always had a passion for swimming, cycling, volleyball, and softball. She was a competitive swimmer up to her senior year of high school, in which she broke the school record in the 100-yard Butterfly. She also played Varsity softball and won the State Finals in her junior year.
Once she moved to the valley, she really enjoyed being outdoors and expanded her activities to include mountain biking, hiking, rollerblading, and beach volleyball. She played competitive volleyball for years, and she raced both downhill and cross-country mountain bikes for many years. She got started in spinning and weights for cross-training purposes during the hot summer months.
She has been spinning for 9 years and instructing for the past 4 years as a certified Johnny G instructor. She focuses on Zone Training, which consists of the following zones: recovery, endurance, strength training (aerobic), and anaerobic threshold.
A couple of her favorite quotes are "Pain is temporary, quitting is permanent," and "Go faster, ride harder, live longer."
She gets her inspiration by “Watching the dedication of her participants and the thought that she can make a difference in someone's life.”
As for her spinning classes, she hopes to bring to each class: passion, knowledge, safety, and great music for a great spin ride!
