A few blogs back I talked about Rededicating yourself to your goals. How's that going? I can tell you that yours truly has "fell of the wagon" more than a few times since January in many areas of my life. I think it's really human nature. That's why we need to fight our true nature, believe in ourselves and achieve. Just how do we do this and what are tools we can use?

Kathy has blogged about visualization and I think she is right on! If you haven't read her suggestions I would urge you to go a few blogs back and read it. Visualization is paramount as we work toward any achievement. I continue to use visualization as I work to lose the past two year's extra weight I put on during the crippling South Dakota winters. I have a picture of me at my ideal weight posted in my bathroom that I look at every day and it is a constant reminder of focus, focus, focus!

I would also suggest that if you are in an exercise rut, you need to do something different. I am a runner at heart and in the past have balked at other forms of exercise because I am so set in my ways. Guess what? Because my body is so used to running, it's more and more difficult to get results because my body has learned how to expend calories more efficiently. So I have begun cross training in the form of biking and hiking. Last weekend I went on my first strenuous hike in the form of 9.5 miles on South Mountain, then Camelback two days later. I could not believe the instant results I felt: tighter tush and my legs firmed up! Needless to say, I took at lot of naps for days after those excursions. HA! The bottom line: Do something different than you're doing.

If you need help or insight/input on what you need to do, I would encourage you to meet with one of us and we can help! I have been training a woman at Luna for a month and in that time frame she has lost 6 lbs. and 6 inches. People at work are calling her J Lo:-)! We began with an assessment and as we work together, I provide a monthly assessment to keep her on track and gauge results. The Luna Fitness trainers strive for results! And I don't think there is a trainer here that has not had a struggle or challenge. We are here for you and excited to help you get over the mid-year New Year's Resolution rut. So set up an assessment and fight for your goals!
