Tired, Exhausted, Drained, Depleted... Does This Sound Like You?
The hot summer season is finally here. For many, this also marks a time of added stress and less energy. Besides the obvious of drinking more water, healthy diet, and getting sufficient sleep here are a few new ideas to help you feel good and optimize your energy levels.
*Take a look at an area of your life you feel unsatisfied with. Note the amount of energy you spend obsessing over it. Just imagine what areas of your life would benefit if you were to let that go. Now vow to replace related thoughts with an affirmation that reflects your potential and positive intention.
*Pick an aspect of your body that you appreciate and be grateful for it everyday. Notice how the positive attention expands moving toward more love and appreciation of your entire body. Remember, where attention goes energy flows.
*Begin to view your body from a place of abundance rather then one of lack. Instead of focusing on what you shouldn’t have, focus on what you can give your body everyday to nourish it. One day it may be going for a peaceful walk or some fresh vegetables or fruit - other times it might be an afternoon nap.
*Take an inventory of your choices during the course of one day. Acknowledge yourself making choices that energize you. Next, look carefully at those that don’t and ask yourself how can you change the situation. One you get an answer- it may take a day or two- follow through with making the change.
*Develop ways to nurture yourself, create inner peace, and tranquility- Yoga, Meditation, being in nature, breathing, relaxing, taking time to step into “nothingness”. You will be amazed how much more productive and energized you will feel.
I would encourage you to take the next 5 weeks and pick a new principle to focus on each week. You will be surprised at not only the difference this makes on your level of energy, but overall your sense of wellbeing.
Many Blessings,
