ness tip of the week: Start your day right!! Whether you are trying to lose weight, gain muscle, run a race or make it through the day without pulling your hair out, there is ONE trick that can help support your goal. BREAKFAST….I know, I know you have heard it all before…but maybe if I tell you one more time this time it will sink in. Breakfast sets the stage for your metabolism for the day. That setting effects everything from energy, to mood, to cravings and even memory. Don’t skip and don’t skimp…100 calorie yogurt is NOT breakfast. You need a 300 to 400 calorie MEAL that includes proteins, carbs and FAT!!! (yes you read that right FAT) Now this does not mean a doughnut for that doesn’t have the right combination and not enough protein. The carbs give you energy but too much and too refined and they run out fast dropping you down, not enough protein and fat and you eat too much or don’t stay full long enough. Yep oatmeal rocks with fruit, nuts and milk. Remember your portions!! And if you have questions just ask!! I can help you find the perfect breakfast that sets you up for success. (and yes one that you can afford, enjoy and have time for)

Thoughts are things. Feelings impact our body. Change is possible. Fear really is the mind killer. Hope is as important as food. Possibility is your best friend. Impossible is a silly word. Faith and Love exist and can change your life. Helping the world means helping yourself. Sharing nets you more than hoarding or holding on. You can’t be bad at yoga…you can meditate…and just because something was true yesterday doesn’t make it true everyday.
Plato said KNOW YOURSELF. And this is what I hope to help you discover in yoga class, in hypnosis, in workout, in meditation…whatever the medium…it is in knowing your self – what you are doing, what you are feeling, what you are thinking – that you can effect change. Awareness and being able to listen…those are the keys to your happiness and that happiness is available to you today, in this moment, NOW…No matter what.
