Aminda's Musing:

It's all about the little things. Baby steps. Forward movement. As a personal trainer I hear a lot of things that I have learned are exactly what keep people stuck .... I will work out when I get my diet in order, once I know if I will stick to it I'll get a gym membership, when I lose a few pounds I'll start going to yoga. They all have one thing in common, putting off until tomorrow what can be done today and even worse, while you look for the best day to "start" achieving your goals...it's getting harder and harder to do that. On the other side of the coin I see people come at it with so much gusto and force they fade before they get anywhere.
It all comes down to learning to be present. Today is the day that matters...you can't change what you did yesterday or reverse it...you ate what you ate, you did what you did...it's done. As for tomorrow? there are no guarantees...You don't know any more than I if you will "stick" to your diet or you routine, you may choose to...you may not...what does that have to do with TODAY...make the choice at this moment, on this day, at this meal...do it one choice at a time...and make the simple choices. You don't need to change it all at once, you don't have to set yourself up for failure with unreasonable expectations.
Take the small step over and over and over and when you turn around to look back it will seem just like a giant step.

And if you are struggling to overcome some mental blocks to moving past your obstacles, we have the tools for that, yoga is one way to practice presence and hypnotherapy is one way to talk to yourself and work past those blocks. Stop by today and sign up for one or both...one simple change could be all it takes.
