Bon Voyage tight hips!
Chances are if you've been into Luna Fitness (which you all have, right ladies?!) for a workout in the past couple weeks, you've heard about Skye's new certification in stretch therapy. While the idea wasn't new to me...I had actually heard about this treatment a few years ago...I finally had my first session yesterday at the gym.
Although I'm a huge proponent of stretching, I don't always follow my own suggestions. Due to this and my running habit, I've got chronically tight hips and a tight lower back. The foam roller is a great tool, but it's no replacement for getting stretched by someone else. When you're being stretched, your body is able to relax and will gain more from the session.
Following my hour-long session my hips felt so much looser! No post-treatment soreness and instant results! I highly recommend trying the treatment, and will definitely be back for a second session next week.
Goodbye tight hips!
