With the abundance of rain that we have been blessed with the early part of the year, the flowers and trees are doing their best to reproduce and have sent a shower of pollens out into the air. That, combined with so much movement in our Valley of the Sun, has increased polutants in the air and in our bodies. Seasonal Allergies have been a bit more difficult to deal with this year. What are some of the things we can do to prevent or bring down our bodies reactions to allergens? Tons of things! First off, an increase in the amount of water you are drinking can flush out toxins from your body. Adding exercise to move the lymphatic fluids and sweat out more toxins helps too. Sometimes breathing is more difficult, so something like yoga, pilates or stretch therapy can help too by pushing fluids through the body.

What about supplements? Medications? Sometimes we have to resort to medications but there are so many natural therapeutics to apply before we go the route of pharmaceuticals. In some cases - check with your doctor first - a Neti pot or nasal rinse will do the trick to keep the allergens out of the nose and upper respiratory system. Vitamin B-complex injections combined with Engystol injections has done wonders for people for a low cost, low maintenance therapy. Just a few minutes and a small, practically painless injection during the allergy season has proven to be extremely helpful. There are many other herbal therapeutics and homeopathic therapeutics that can help relieve symptoms or even prevent symptoms for a very low cost.

Most people know the liver is the main organ that is in charge of detoxification. Running your body through a detoxification program would be perfect right now - the Detox shake is a great start. Following that up with a series of colon hydrotherapy sessions will remove further toxins. Body wraps are well known in Luna Fitness as a part of the detox program as well. If these don't sound appealing to you, schedule a short consult with me at 480.899.3355 in Wellness Living Center or at the front desk so we can discuss other options for comfort during allergy season.
